Hi Lira. I am 35 and was just diagnosed 8 days ago with cervical cancer.
My symptoms were nonstop bleeding, horrible pains in lower abdomen and off and
on fever. I foolishly waited to see a dr because I diagnosed myself as 'being fine'.
Never in a million years did I think at 35 I'd be going thru cancer. I start radiation and chemo
Next week. Very scary. Finding support from those who understand how I feel has been hard
since no one I know has this. All my friends say 'it'll be okay, you'll be fine'..which is nice,
but the chemo is just making me so anxious!
      Sorry...I think I needed to vent! ;-)

      Hi Kim,

No need to apologize. Vent away. That is what this website is all about. That and to connect and share with others going through the same or similar journeys as us. I understand the roller coaster of emotions you are going through at this time. Hang in there girl. Take it from someone that has been through treatment, I'll be honest, it does suck, but nothing you can't get through. I understand the need to get support from someone who's been there so please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I myself am finally on the other end of all this, as far as treatment goes, but I haven't forgotten how scary and uncertain everything felt when newly diagnosed. Support from friends and family is great but there's only so much they can do or say. I know when they used to tell me "It'll be okay, you'll be fine"....I wanted to ask them "How" they knew it was going to be okay and that I was going to be fine. I understood it was their way of trying to reassure me and I appreciated it but sometimes just telling me that they were going to be there for me and that I wasn't going to go through any of this alone eased my mind so much more.

So sorry you are having to go through all this poop. I also, like you, experienced a lot of abnormal bleeding, as well as discharge and anemia. The docs thought it was just a "hormone imbalance" but unfortunately it wasn't. The most important thing right now is to treat this and get through the treatments. Support from those around you is essential. Please consider me one of those people on your team. Hope to hear from you soon. Sending you hugs.

I had no symptoms until after I was diagnosed. A polyp was found during my pregnancy, but not biopsied until about 9 weeks after I had my daughter. After that, I had lots of bleeding and passing large blood clots.
