    when do you count as a survivor?

    I survived my initial resection and subsequent radiation, but I am still in active monitoring?
    How am I classified?

      The American Cancer Society considers you a survivor from the time you are diagnosed. Welcome to the club!

      Yup,,from the moment that you hear you have CANCER you are a survivor..
