This is a good question. I am going to see if I can find someone from our social media channels with this experience to weigh in.

I took high dose IL2 Oct 2010 I had good results shrank several of my turmors even the ones that it was not suppose too touch at all. It is a chanllenge to go thru your body must be in pretty good shape and you have to be a fighter. I went thru my treatments at WVU I was in ICU you get injections every 8 hours IF you pass all of the numbers are right for you to get the next dose. You will put on extra weight I gained an average of 9lbs a day the first round I went in for. The IL2 makes your BP drop your heart go up you can get sick you have to pee so much in those 8 hours sometimes they would count my vomit as fluids. You can "dream or see" things I didn't but all of the others before me did....they had a patient that would think the potty was behind the bed had to keep an eye on that one. I also have CMT that is muscular dystophy along with melanoma so I was use to the fact that this drug makes you really tired and worn out. I gained 44lbs in 7 days. but you take this fluid off pretty quick too. I was really tired the first go around my legs gained so much fluid I couldn't pick them up myself the nurses had to put them in bed for me. Potty chair by the bedside before it was overwith also. You can have as many as 15 treatments in a 7 day period. I only did 9 each time, I got thru 5 rounds on the sixth round the IL2 burnt the nerves in my hands I only did 3 rounds that time. This was unusal for the nerves they think it was from my CMT combined. You go down to another floor in the hospital and take off the fluid you must have taken off half of what you gained before you can go home. They send you home with lasit to take off the rest of the fluid. I don't know anything about this dacarbazine I did take Yevoy and I am now taking Zorabraf. I was told that there is a 7% cure rate with the IL2 the turmors that it shrank have never came back so it did me some good. If you have any other questions that I didn't hit on just drop me a line will be glad to answer anyquestion. God Bless keep up the fight wanna watch those babies grow up. Bev
