    Will a teaching hospital have the latest and best treatments for brainstem glioma?

      If they have specialist Doctors who are also doing reserch on this cancer then I think they could have an advantage. Otherwise try contacting a foundation for this cancer or the NCi to learn which institution is doing clinical trials or who are the experts.

      You really want a research hospital or clinic vs. a teaching hospital (though they are often times both) and with a rare type of cancer or an off normal case you really want to locate hospitals or Drs that are researching your particular type od cancer to get the latest treatments and access to clinical trials. You can usually look this up on the internet. You also sould be aware that some Drs and hospitals are offering virtual consultations so you don't have to travel initially to get your case seen by them. Good Luck
