I have been working with a few patients who have gone thru CAR-T cell therapy and are doing well. Between CAR-T therapy and CRISPR, I do believe a cure can now be a real possibility.

At SCCA/Fred Hutchinson in Seattle, there is an entire wing on the 6th floor dedicated to CAR-T therapy. It was built with a grant from the Bezos Foundation (Amazon.com). CAR-T is very promising, but remains in its infancy. At this point, it is probably preferable to a marrow or stem cell transplant, as it can be employed first, with a transplant being held in reserve.
