      IMHO the article is garbage.

It is not true that doctors are truthful about side and after effects of treatment. My mouth fillings all fell out during radiation. The quality of and strength of my teeth weakened. No one told me to expect that. There is more I was not told about side and after effects but I dont like to rant.

Oddly, it took 13 years for me to find a doctor to correctly diagnose a tumor, to which I was pointing, as other than a wart or hemorrhoid. I had to gain enough weight so that the tumor grew, along with the rest of me, to a size where a surgeon would finally agree to remove it. The surgeon offered to biopsy some removed tissue and I had to ask what the word meant.

After the long delayed operation, I had to chase the surgeon down to find out the biopsy results.

During those 13 years that I wasnt supposed to be able to live through, I did all sorts of "alternative medications" which, had I known what was wrong with me, I would have been told would kill me. I stayed alive.

The eventual chemotherapy was botched and I wound up with a blood disease. There was no way to fix it at the time. I did more alternative medications thinking to continue to stay alive and I did. I managed to improve my blood work. I, eventually, managed to stabilize the disease development although I did not manage to rid myself of it completely.

Everything I did was wrong but here I am to speak about it while others, who followed conventional wisdom, are not.

Two years ago, I took experimental drugs to rid myself of the blood disease. The drugs worked but they left ravages just as did the original treatment against the cancer. Again, the side effects were all hidden. The actual base of the drug was hidden so neither me nor my doctors knew that the drugs were manufactured using something to which I and 24% of the general population are allergic. When I found out why I was feeling so badly, I, again, used herbs to reduce the whole body (including my head) inflammation.

I still have what I call 'brain XXX' or little empty bubbles where information used to be stored. I still have some problems recalling faces and associating names although I can now remember associated events. In minutes, rather than never or for weeks or days, I will remember a name, a word, or an associated event and be able to put it all together.

New to me, is the difficulty of focus and association of a name, a face, and the more easily remembered story or event associated, all of which I have experienced together.

So what was I to do? Had I followed conventional thinking, I would likely be dead. No one survives 13 years with cancer. No one has a visible tumor which no doctor of any specialty can recognize. No one gets a disease from chemotherapy. No one controls the replication of a virus without medical assistance.

No one is me. As I see it, the article has no basis in fact. Mom Nature rules her kingdom completely. I am alive thanks to her.

      Best wishes

I am of the mind of, I will take what science has proven through research and actual real world treatments. If there is something that isn't going to hurt me or interfere with my treatments I might take or consider taking it. But to simply take these things instead of what has been proven to work for most, I would not.

I wish there was a Study where every new patient could just try for 3-6 months before any treatment some Altering of their diets to a ALL Plant Food Diet just to see how they do. I realize that some need to start treatments right away but most have time as the cancer has been there for many years before being found. AT FIRST DO NO HARM should be the Medical Motto...

I never use the word alternative. I am equally suspicious of alternative medicine and traditional medicine. I always discuss ANY medication I take with my PCP. She always shows me the Merck Manuel on her phone. I know the Merck Manuel is printed by big Pharma but it does give you an idea of just what you're getting into. I am thankful that my medical center is really into "integrative medicine. Their research department includes research in integrative medicine. I also like my treatments to be as natural as possible. For example I use Turmeric in my cooking daily, I do not take the highly processed curcumin tablets.

I'd never take this. Mumbo-jumbo, as far as I'm concerned.

What difference does it make? The doctors give you meds that will cripple or kill you, and they lie and say it will keep you healthy.

The truth of the matter is that we are born with cancer cells in our bodies. it"s when our natural bodily defense becomes damaged by obesity, high blood pressure, and other health conditions due to sedentary lifestyles and too much stress, that our bodies begin to deteriorate. I believe that our bodies are initially designed to fight off disease including cancer. I've had a lump in my breast since 2005. In 2014, I had it biopsied and was told that it was invasive cancer. It's been a real challenge since dealing with doctors who just want to either cut on you or give you chemo that doesn't work. It's a money racket with these doctors and facilities. I have tried to get every cancer doctor that i have seen to prescribe cannibus with no success. I believe that the reason that i am still alive is because i took milk-thistle and cooked with lots of garlic, turmeric etc for many years. i used these products because of another condition i was diagnosed with in 1995. I did undergo the first regimen of chemo called Taxol and the tumor actually grew during treatment and spread to lymph nodes. I opted for a modified radical mastectomy and auxiliary lymph nodes removal. The doctor who did the surgery was the head of the surgical department and he totally botched up the surgery and left me with disfigured body so that I would have to let them do reconstruction to fix their deliberate XXX up and make more money off of my insurance at my expense. Needless to say I am going elsewhere to do reconstruction out of the cancer network. I was told that i needed additional chemo {the Red Devil} and radiation because it was in my nodes. I'm taking my time and seeking other naturalistic options
