Year Diagnosis Anniversary...Thanking all your support people

I am coming up on my 1st year Anniversary of Diagnosis....Did you do anything special to celebrate it?( I say celebrate, because I am thrilled to still be here) I am doing a Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk that does happen to coincide with my anniversary, but just wondering what others have done...Also I have had such wonderful support from all kinds of people, besides saying Thank you and sending cards...Have you done anything special for those who have been with you every step of the way?

Hi elissa5...and Happy upcoming anniversary! I know what it is to mark your 1st anniversary and all future anniversaries. Congratulations on such an aspiring event, and many more to come. It takes inner strength to fight as hard as you have over this past year...to defy everything that this disease tried to do to you. I know that you live by the same determination that I do...and you will never give up hope. My own anniversary is celebrated with an email to all my family and friends. They're usually rather long so I don't know if I should post it on WhatNext...we'll see. My anniversary is celebrated on the day of my surgery, the day that I rid my body of all the cancer...that is November 3, 2000 so I will be celebrating my 13th anniversary very soon. I never ever thought that I would make it this far...there were so many days where I wanted to give up, but I refused to do so...and you must do the same. Again elissa5 congratulations on your 1st year, and I know that there are more to come! My best to you...

Congratulations Elissa5, you are the living proof that Attitude makes the difference: always looking for new natural ways to fight this disease and giving your time for finding funds for research. I wish you many, many more anniversaries!

What a great idea! I never thought about that anniversary, probably because I'm not there yet. I'm sure I'll come up with something. Thanks for sharing.
