Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I had a port put in for ease of having the infusion. The first infusion was painless and there were no negative side effects. In fact, all of my bad symptoms disappeared in less than a day after the infusion. No night sweats, temperature, dry cough or enlarged nodes . I was told that if there were any negative issues there was something that could be done to eliminate them. So, I received an anti nausea shot with the infusion --that was supposed to last 3 days--but I am 15 days away from my first infusion and so far no nausea. I did lose a lot of weight quickly, like one lb. daily, but eating 6 small meals has turned that around. I waas never a napper until the infusion but I figure that 1 hour or so daily was okay. It gave my body a chance to let the chemo work.
