Oh No
underwent a pretty extensive physical exam about a month ago at Mayo, stress test blood work, colon the whole nine yards. came through it pretty clean except for an elevated PSA reading. Had a follow up with a Urologist PA, She found a "ridge" on my prostate and thought I’d better have a biopsy done. Things were getting scarier. But I was sure everything would be fine, I had no symptoms. Wrong, biopsy came back positive. Got the call last Friday afternoon, talk about wrecking your weekend. Next step is a return visit for MRI and bone scan to see what I’m up against. Meet with the Urologist next Thursday to view results and talk about treatment options. Needless to say this is a life changer. I stumbled on this site trying find any info I can on treatments, and thought what the heck, sign up and see what others are going through. I’ll know more next week, fingers are firmly crossed.
