Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I guess the worse thing was feeling tired and nauseated all the time. Of course I lost my hair but was lucky because I did not completely loose my eyelashes and eyebrows.
Low white blood cell counts (neutropenia)
Side Effects
After the first 3 rounds I started having to get shots for the neutropenia every other week. One week I would get chemo, the next week I would get the shot. I also had chemo brain ( and still do sometimes haha), diarrhea, constipation, nerve damage, weight loss but that was just the first couple of months, blood clot from the port,
Finished treatment
Celebration
I finished my treatment May 24th 2010 and I am still cancer free! I still get very nervous when its time for scans-always thinking the worse but once I get the good news-life is back to normal! Getting my hair back was also a celebration because wearing hats and turbuns every day got real old.
