Extremely Rare
Oh No
I went in at 16 and they gave me a 99% chance it was NOT cancer.. and when it was.. it was 3 types in 1 tumor and they weren't sure I was old enough to receive some of the treatments that were necessary.
Surgery
Procedure or Surgery
It is hard to answer the above questions because they were not sure what they would find when operating. All they knew was it was a large mass. During surgery they found a tumor the size of a FULLY INFLATED soccer ball.. with 3 different types of cancer within it.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I hate 3 chemo drugs: Bleomycin (which was the strongest and had to be given through a syringe over 1.5 hours because if received to fast my lungs would collapse in less then 3 seconds) , Etoposide and Cisplatin. My chemo was very strong and long. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.. 5 days on, 10 days off for 6 months... my last 2 treatments i was not able to receive the Bleomycin because i have had my lifetime limit. I am unable to receive that drug again in my lifetime. I also a had a lot of other things for nausea and sleep. This medication caused me to have a seizure at one point.. Very Scary!
