Have you contacted your social worker/patient navigator at your cancer center/hospital? They often have access to those resources. Additionally, the American Cancer Society is a tremendous resource.
Anything else we can do to help?
I was diagnosed March 22nd and had surgery on April 2nd. Although mine was not done with the robot, I had the same things removed. Hopefully that means your recovery will be shorter. It sounds like we have a lot in common. I remember feelling like my head was underwater when the doctor was talking to me and I kept staring at his socks. I guess I had to focus on something! I hope that you will be lucky like me and they will have caught it early!
This site is a wonderful resource!!! In the few weeks since I have been on, it has helped me a great deal. It really helps with the emotions that we all go through and you feel like you are not alone.
Sending good thoughts your way. :)
I am searching for a support group for survivors of cancers other than breast. Since my diagnosis I have found that there is a great deal of attention for Breast Cancer but not much for the other cancers. Although I am thrilled that there are so many resources for those patients (my mom is a 10 year BC survivor !) I wish the rest of us had some light shed on our diseases. Everywhere I turn it's pink! :)
