Other Care (Hospitalization): Hospitalization was done at the time of surgeries and later at the time infection was diagnosed on the secondary site of RCC - the talus bone. The chronic osteomylesis had to be treated with intravenous administration of antibiotic - augmentin for two weeks. Hospitalization was done for the same for a week, which was followed by oral administration of augmentin for six weeks and ceftum for further three weeks.

Radiation (External radiation ): The radiation was administered on the secondary site of RCC - the talus bone - to rule out the presence of any further cancer cells after the surgery (as the surgery was performed on talus considering the tumor growth to be benign, so the presence of residual cancer cells could not be ruled out).

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): My father went in for two surgeries - one at the primary site of RCC - the left kidney, which was radically removed along with adrenal. But before the diagnosis of the disease, Papa had undergone another surgery on his left foot (later diagnosed as the secondary site of RCC metastasis). The foot surgery was performed by the orthopedic surgeon considering the cyst growth in the talus bone as benign, because of which the success of the surgery was compromised.
