Have you looked into your local Cancer Society office or the United Way? They have terrific resources. Also, some of the larger institutions (Mayo, NIH, Dana Farber) have foundations that assist the uninsured. You'll get through this!

Well I have to say I am grateful for the support. When I was first diagnosed I was ashamed and felt that I had let down the people that depend on me. So far the only person I have told of condition is the women I live with and was to
marry until she was hospitalized with her present condition which requires care on a daily basis.
I have searched and researched what I think might be the best plan of action and seem to always come back to
some version of the "cut and burn" that I am so afraid of.
Alternatives are costly and are offered mostly far from where I live.
Also have no insurance which makes it hard to talk to health care professionals.
Have applied for insurance and have an appointment to see an doctor who is going to give me a price break until
my insurance come through. Keeping my fingers crossed. ace2 Comments-
