I had chemo only. I had standard chemo for about 7 months and then started immunotherapy. I am still getting immunotherapy. Once i got on immunotherapy., recovery was quick. It doesn't have the side effects regular chemo does.

      Best of luck!

I think recovery time depends on what surgery, chemo, or radiation treatment you have. I had a thoracotomy (removal of my LRL) with several broken ribs, and cisplatin and navelbine for chemotherapy. No radiation therapy. It has been 5 years, and I am much better, but my energy and strength levels are still much lower than it was before cancer - (perhaps age is part of it also?). I also still have pain from the broken ribs (though I am not taking anything for it.). It does take a long time to recover, but I am happy I did it.
