I am now on letrozole after being on tamoxifen for two years. I was on anastrozole and then exemestane before the tamoxifen, but did have a lot of side effects like extensive joint pain and bad headaches, which is why I went on the tamoxifen, which I tolerated well. Due to a number of reasons, it was time to go back on an aromatase inhibitor, so now the letrozole, which so far has caused only minor side effects. Anastrozole may be just fine for you, as it is for many, but if not, your doctor can guide you through the options until you can find out what works for you.
