On my second and third reoccurrences my oncologist adamantly recommended SCT of my stem cell. I declined. He then selected RICE in 2004 and then in 2006 I chose Zevalin.
My occurrences were in 2000, 2004, 2006 and 2012.
According to what was said by Thomas P. Miller, MD of the UA Cancer Center in the Lymphoma Workshop last month in Scottsdale, AZ, (I am paraphrasing)… it is not helpful to start treatment early as later is still treatable with good outcome.
In my case in 2006 I had to wait six months after diagnosis in order to get a safe biopsy and I achieved remission after treatment.
For more details of my journey and on the above statements you may Google jhale17. Not all entries there are mine but the ones I have made on WhatNext are there.
Good luck on your journey.
