Sorry to learn of your situation. I pray for the day this country realizes that competent medical care is a basic human right. Why is every major industrialized nation on Earth able to make it work except this one? And I truly believe that we, as a country, owe our veterans far better than they receive. I hope he's being treated at Simon Cancer Pavilion?? I drove 3 hours each way to get there because it is the best. That's also where I took my daughter when she had AML. It was a late diagnosis due to the fact that a GP missed it earlier, so she was in bad shape when she arrived at IUPUI. I am totally convinced she would have died anywhere else. I will be mentioning you and Steve in my prayers. Best of luck to you.

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): His cancer has spread to his adrenal glands and he is scheduled for surgery mid May. We cannot get him his surgery until he pays off the 150,000 dollar balance from February through now. We will make it happen but then what comes next?

Oh No (Health insurance issue): How is this possible!!!!??? $35,000 for a months supply of medication! These new medications are meant to replace chemotherapy. Tagrisso and Tabrecta. He has Tri-Care insurance as he is a retired Marine but it seems that stage 3/4 are not covered?
He makes great money but it is still depleting rapidly with all of the hospital visits, labs, chemo, medications, surgery...This year alone he has spent 70,000 on medications alone.
    What do we do?
