I'm so sorry to hear you have had such a hard time with all of this. I hope you get a break soon. Having know other breast cancer patients before I got diagnosed, I opted to have complete simple mastectomies when I got diagnosed. It seemed to have the least side effects long term. During chemo, surgery isn't an option, but maybe once you are past this phase, it could be something to consider. I'm being treated at Hopkins. Maybe getting a 2nd opinion would be helpful. I'll keep you in my prayers. I have my 3rd weekly taxol this Friday.

I took Neulasta and had an allergic reaction -shortness of breath, speeding heart rate etc. so the dr discontinued that and the AC infusions. I am taking Taxol only. I'm taking the 5th treatment tomorrow. But at present I am sitting here in unguents care unit is Memorial Sloan Kittering Cancer CRT. (One of the best if not the best cancer centers in the Northeast of the US) because of the continuing off and on again pain in my left breast.

almost 7 years agoI'm keeping my dr abreast of all my side effects. Can't take Neulasta almost had a heart attack from it. Dr said I'm allergic to that family of drugs. Not taking AC now the dr is giving me Taxol once a week. Still having side effects in unguents care unit at MSKCC for pain in left breast and finger pain. Dr wanted me to come in to check what is happening with my health. I was her two days ago and now I'm back. I hope everything is alright. I will try everything that was suggested and talk with my dr tomorrow. Not sure I will get Taxol infusion tomorrow. Waiting for test orders to come down.thanks for all your good wishes. I will keep in touch
