I haven't been able to talk to Katie in some time. I think I'll ask her to join the WN network.

It can be difficult to know what to say or do when you so badly want to help somebody going through cancer. Here's a link to a post where we spoke with author, WhatNexter and lung cancer fighter @lorihope. She wrote an amazing book, Help Me Live: 20 Things People Living with Cancer Want You to Know. Maybe this will be a good start. Additionally, there is another post, Tips for Helping Someone with Cancer: http://blog.whatnext.com/blog/peer-perspectives/tips-for-helping-someone-with-cancer.

I hope some of this information helps.
