2nd breast cancer diagnosis in 15 months. Finished treatment for the first diagnosis in August of 2014 supposedly cancer free and here I am 5 months later diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Gotta fly to a prayer dinner :) God bless us all

Like BabsWon stated 2 different cancers in one's breast is possible. You can also have the slide of your first biopsy re examined to see if they still agree with the diagnosis. I suggest you discuss with your oncologist if you could have mets other places and if you need more eval.
Seems to me you need more answers. Good luck and prayers

I was initially diagnosed with Triple Negative. However, after most of my chemo was done, they did surgery and did another biopsy. The cancer that remained was estrogen positive. They said that the cancer could have changed or the chemo could have killed off the triple negative first. Sometimes I think they really don't know.

Thanks everyone. The days have been so busy that I haven't had time to research anything. I have terrible lymphedema in my dominant arm. It's in my breast too but my arm is so painful and my ability to use my hand is decreasing. Since yesterday it's hard to even hold a glass, or anything, because it feels like I'm going to drop it because the lymph fluid is pressing on my nerves and vessels. I need to find information to help myself with this other than a compression sleeve.
Thanks again and if you hear of anything new please share.
