I have a big scan coming up!!! It will be my first since I started treatment. I am really nervous, I really hope the chemo is doing its job. Question is, is it normal to see results this quickly? I have only been in treatment 2 months.

At 3 mos there were some changes in my husband's PET. I think it's normal to be nervous because of the high stakes of the scans. My husband was so filled with fear over what it would say, he couldn't get out of bed for 2 days till he finally got the results. Hope it goes well.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Well so far so good. I have had 5 treatments and so far I have had few side effects. I get pretty tired for a few days after treatment but thats about it. They told me I shouldn't lose my hair on this treatment plan, but it may thin. I have noticed over this past week that my hair is definitely thinning!!! Its only noticable to me at this point, and I am hoping it stays that way. I must praise god for giving me the strength to get through these treatments with little side effects.

Oh No (Diagnosed): It all started one evening when I was at home cooking dinner. I was in the kitchen and I was having intense pain. My fiance came home from work and saw me standing in the kitchen crying my eyes out. I told him I was fine and just needed to take a bath. Well he talked me out of that and we went to the ER. Its a good thing we did, because after a CT scan, it showed that I had a rupture in my colon and was bleeding out into my stomach. Not only that but there was a apple sized tumor attached to it all. I was admitted and immediately put on meds to keep the infection down. After a few days in the hospital and more test, is when they came in and told me I had cancer. I couldn't believe at 31 that it was even possible to have colon cancer. A few days later I was in surgery where they removed part of my colon, part of my bladder, and my left ovary. Sadly my cancer had spread to other areas. I really wished I would have listened to my body over the past year. I was having little pains, bathroom issues etc. Now I am 3 months out of surgery and 5 chemo treatments down. Just waiting to see if this is working, and hoping for the best!!
