Great news that your husband found a doctor who listens to him and investigates his symptoms to find the cause. And I hope that light of hope keeps getting brighter! Don't be afraid of pallative care -- they should help him manage any pain and discomfort. Best to you both!

I am on palliative care only. Palliative care focuses on comfort of the patient and alleviation of pain, nausea, etc. For example, the fentanyl patches I wear enable me to live without incredible pain caused by metastasis. I went in dehydrated last visit and got fluids iv immediately. I had pneumonia symptoms and those were treated with antibiotics. I'd recommend palliative care for everyone who has need of it, whether in treatment or not. So glad you changed oncologists.
