Hi, beachbum5817! I received an e-mail notice dated yesterday that you wrote on my wall but when I clicked on the link it took me to a conversation that was with other people - no sign of you on that page. Am I going crazy or are the computer gremlins at it again?

Actually, I did not write that post well. What I should have said is... I clicked on your post once and saw it briefly but was in the middle of something and could not reply. When I went back to check on it later it was gone. So strange.

Anyway, thank you so much for checking up on me. I do appreciate it. Good memory (about our move)! We're pretty much settled except for several boxes I have that are labeled "mementos". I tend to keep cards and letters, etc. I am making a concerted effort to pare down - well, except for things from my mom. She passed away in February and right now I'm not feeling like getting rid of anything from her.

Things have just been super busy with the house and, well, the rest of life. You know how it goes. I like participating on this site but just haven't gotten to it lately. I am making an effort to return.

How are you? And are you a saver of "mementos"?

Thank you again for checking in on me. So thoughtful. : )

I am doing well. My surgeon has moved me to yearly check-ups with him. It makes me a little nervous, but I can always see him sooner if I feel the need. I am a saver of momentos, and it is very hard for me to part with things. I feel sorry for my children. They will be stuck sorting through all of my stuff one day. They aren't anywhere near as nostalgic as I am. I am sure that they will rent a dumpster and get rid of all of it. Oh well. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of your loved ones. Don't be a stranger. Take care.

I know what you mean about moving to annual check-ups. It is a bit nerve wracking. At five years out the surgeon and radiation oncologist both told me I didn't need to come back unless there was a problem. The oncologist said I could just check in with our family doctor if I wanted or return to her office annually. I chose annual visits with the oncologist as I figure she's the expert.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! : )
