Decision Point (Bladder removal?!?): My doctor said the best remedy is to have my bladder removed. I thought that it was caught early...it was removed (the tumor)...treatments are working..I had quit smoking...changed my diet...etc. With all that going for me, I believe I have a good chance to beat this! I decided to wait and see, give the treatments and lifestyle change time and look into clinical trials.

Celebration (Remission): Had surgery to remove tumor and continued aggressive treatments and routine treatments after that. Was in remission for almost two years (just one month short of two years) when a follow-up cystoscopy discovered two small tumors. Had thosed remove about three weeks ago and continued BCG treatments...I will find out the outcome in one month.

Procedure or Surgery (BCG-Immunal Treatment): With all the options available, I thought this one made the most sense - simple procedure, no damage to healthy cells, no side effects (atleast in my case), and little impact to my family, friends and coworkers.

Oh No (Diagnosed): When I first was diagnosed with bladder cancer, I was devastated. I am being treated for hyperstension which included various medication and one of them was a diuretic that made me urinated alot. I didn't think anything of it until I noticed alittle blood in my urine and again I didn't give it a second thought because my job is pretty physical and I thought maybe it was caused by that. A little time goes by and it got worse with some paint (burning) involved so I went to my doctor. It turned out to be cancer! So many thoughts went through my mind. All I thought about was my wife...my kids...so much I haven't done yet...etc. Live is so precious...and so short...don"t waste it...
