Dear BJF:
We have had practice with a fair number of these pleurx drains in my training as a fellow and they are really good. Minimal discomfort, easy to take care of, and when there is no further build up, can easily be removed. The sclerosis agents can be painful and will help thwart the fluid formation (vs. the idea of pleurx drain is removal of built-up fluid), it is not always successful.
