Thanks for your input. I did try the pump and had some success but than no success. I'm not happy with the injection but it has worked most of the time. I have no desire to give up on the getting it up but may need to try something else.

I highly recommend those Kegel exercises. I think they helped although not 100% and it's been a year plus.

Should my 3 month follow-up visits include a DRE?

I do not think this is the norm for sure. I haven't had a DRE (Digital Rectal Exam) Since the tumor was discovered. I had the prostatectomy so maybe that makes the difference. To think of it a DRE is examining the prostate gland manually so if there is no gland there is apparently no reason for the DRE. I had only initial erectal problems which soon disappeared once my mind got to accept this and we went to work. Notice I said we. This would include my wife. If any one can "raise the dead" she can! it came down to touching, feeling, kissing, fondling, squeezing, pinching, etc. Along with this was the XXX Pump, a great tool indeed! My Urologist drove home the fact that "if you do not use it you will loose it". Therefore as soon as possible I started driving the blood up the shaft by the pump. Then there was "extenze", better than Viagra and no side effects. I used them all! no wonder the erectile problem was temporary at best. I have a lot of plowing to do, if you know what I mean, and enjoy it too. I just couldn't sit down fold arms and look down. I did that once and knew I shouldn't be living with the dead. NOTICE NO INJECTION! Follow my advice and you will be very happy too.

I seem to get a DRE at every exam ...They are checking for scaring from surgery...and to feel if any tumors are in or around the prostate bed ...

It's been almost two years since my surgery ..(Robotic) and I also had salvage radiation.. cause my PSA started to rise slightly. It's going down now back to undectable levels ...So I guess time will tell ...As far as ED issues ...I was fine the night before my surgery ..Still no real improvement since then :-( But not giving up hope
