Well just before I was diagnosed, I was on Weight Watchers...and was trying very hard to loose weight...I has lost 25lbs but 50lbs was my goal...also I had just gone back to statins for my cholesterol needless to say when the diagnosis came I stopped WW and the statins...I did lose another 10lbs when on chemo (but that was due to all the pre meds and steroids)...my last chemo was in June 2013...and I have since put the 10lbs back on...my doctor is NOT happy with this...so now the holidays are over and it is time for me again to start losing the weight...I always wondered if the fats/sugars were a part of this whole cancer thing...I will say that I have had 3MRIs and no evidence of tumors on the pancreas or the liver (of which I had been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer)..I will say that weight has always been a struggle for me all my life..

My dad was overweight. The extra weight was a benefit I think, because he lost in the neighborhood of 70 pounds by his last month. He dropped the first 50 pretty quickly in the beginning. Then we were able to maintain weight up until about the past month when he had a harder time.

Thank you for your question! Weight is a common topic on WhatNext whether it is trying to gain or trying to lose. Perhaps you will find this article helpful.

For what it's worth, someone told me about this non-traditional anti-cancer therapy. I tend to be skeptical but am nonetheless drinking this tea:
