Drug Therapy or Medication: Going for my 4th and final infusion of Yervoy on Friday. So far I have not had any problems with it. Has been a piece of cake. Hope it works somewhat. I have stage 4 melanoma In my liver. It is not the skin cancer though. I lost my eye in 2007 to melanoma. It has come back in my liver. The Dr's says my cancer is rare and hard to treat. But everything I have had has added to my life. Don't know what treatment there is out there for me next. But just keep it coming

Just received a call from my oncologist. I am going to start yervoy injections on Friday. Has anyone heard of it or had it?

Yes, there are several people on the site that have either taken it or are still on it. It's a newer, fairly common drug lately. Go to the experiences tab at the top of the page, then type in Yervoy in the search box and you will see several responses about it. I'm sure some of the ones who are taking it will chime in here throughout the day today.

Hi, I just started a clinical trial that includes yervoy and anti pd 1. I had my first infusion on November 11th. I ran a fever for about a week and had some fatigue but other than that first infusion was not too bad. I have my next December 3rd..I will let you know how the second goes. I wish you all the best and let us know how it goes.

Thank you. I go tomorrow for my first treatment. Will post my experience. When they called to schedule the appointment, the nurse seemed to be very excited with the results of this has. Fingers crossed. And hearts to everyone suffering from this terrible thing. Happy Holidays

Any cancer can spread to any other part of the body. I had uterine cancer, but it was also found in my ovary and lymph node. Then, I had thyroid cancer. I thought it was the uterine cancer spread to the thyroid, but 2 different primary cancers.

Thank you so much for your responses. I 2007 I lost my eye to melanoma. After 5 years I thought I was out of the woods. but in Feb they found melanoma in my liver. Went through radioembolation which helped but have to see the Dr in Nov to see what is happening. Hope the tumors are still shrinking. Just heard from my sister-in-law today. Her cancer is coming back. It is her 2nd cancer. Once in breast and now in liver. She is coming next week to get another opinion from the Dr I have been using. If needed she will stay with me while she goes through treatment. We will be each other's support.

I am sorry to hear about all everyone is going through. The best thing we can do for ourselves and each other is to keep those happy thoughts and feel blessed by family and friends. Each day I wake up at dawn to watch the beauty of the new day.

Radiation (Internal radiation): Had radioembolization as my first treatment. Slight pain that decreased as the days went on. One tumor gone and rest shrank. Need another scan in 3 months.
