      Butterflylan,
Try www.needymeds.org and go to the left side of the page to diagnosis-based assistance. Click on that then on diagnosis list, then C for cancers-all. You will find national resources that can help you. NeedyMedswill also get your drugcost and scans reduced. Best of luck to you, Carm RN.

Is there a Social Worker associated with your cancer center? That is a good place to start. If you can, perhaps you can take some kind of a class, anything that gets you out meeting people. Good luck!

Look into some community college summer classes...something that requires a time commitment and will get you out on a regular basis (if you just audit the class there will not be a charge)...make a standing date to get together with a friend for coffee or a walk or anything you both like to do and then keep it...maybe visiting someone else who is a similar situation, check at your local church, if appropriate for anyone who might need some friendship...when we help others we really do help ourselves. Whatever you decide to do, good luck and God bless!

Clinical Trial (Nipple Sparing Mastectomies - part of 5 year study): I believe having the nipple sparing mastectomy helped my recovery on the emotional side.
