On Aug 4th, my father was diagnosed with Stage 3a Lung Cancer, he has been doing very well on Chemo / Radiation . Last week we went in for a PET scan and it showed the tumor had shrunk by 30-40% which was positive. The PET also showed a small area now underneath his color bone and his rt. adrenal gland has now lit up. Does this mean the cancer has moved to Stage IV? Everything I have read indicated that it has ....but it wasn't news we were expecting and I failed to ask doc if its now stage iv? Any experience on this would be appreciated. Thanks- Bryan
