Procedure or Surgery: Why did no one tell me that there would be numbness in my legs during the first chemo. I thought I was having a heart attack!! After major abdominal surgury and the continuous infections you tell me I am have no more infection but I go in to the doctor as I need to start the second round of chemo as I feel sick and have pain (again in my abdomin) you tell me again there is no infection (really?). By Monday there are red lines of infection on my stomach and I have a fever, I get hysterical in the chemo doctors office and thank goodness the nurses actually listen to their patients. Major IV drip of antibiotics and removal of infected stuff finally stops the infection. After reconnection surgery you tell me I can go back to work after two weeks!!! Did you forget to tell me I would have absolutely no control of my bowel movements for the next year!!! So many tears of embarrassment and frustration. Bottom line five years later, I love you and thank you for saving my live :)
