My brother and I wouldn't live this long. Between us, we've pretty much done everything possible to kill ourselves. Both been shot at. We didn't want to go slowly in pain and suffering. We wanted it quick, and we didn't care how bloody.

Now, we're in our 70s and we still drive too fast. I have the privilege of driving 80 to way over a 100. I just don't want to take a long time. I don't trust this HMO to allow me to have pain meds like codeine or barbiturates. I just always thought that a horse would roll over me or somebody would shoot me or something. I'll say one thing, we've had lots of fun.

I just don't want to stress out my family. I know how hard it was for my brother and I, as we watched our father die-day after day- til he was no more.

Legislation is currently in the California State Senate to address this but yes, a lawsuit will move things quicker. There's been lots of press and discussion since Brittany Maynard told her story. I heard on PBS News that 14 additional states, including California, hope to have this issue on the ballot in 2016. I definitely support a terminally ill person's right to choose how and when to die.

What products can I use on my neck for my radiation burns/radiation skin reactions.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment by Eucerin was recommended to help the skin heal. I used it all through radiation & beyond. Also used aloe vera gel to cool the burn. Be gentle with the skin and pat dry with a towel, don't rub, after showering. Good luck - hope you heal fast!
