Loss (Lost loved one): My Grandpa, the grandparent I was closest to, passed unexpectedly Tuesday, May 25th, 2010. This was only 60 days after my diagnosis. I could not move my chemo. (It literally WAS a matter of "life & death" with stage Four cancer!) so I had chemo. and a funeral within 48 hours of each other. I had chemo. on Thursday, and Friday I went to the Hospital for a Neulasta shot, and then we hit the road to drive a couple hours to the visitation. The funeral was the next day, the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. :( This was Incredibly fitting though, since My Dear Grandpa was a WWII Purple Heart -- a sharpshooter on the front lines in war.

Side Effects (Hair loss (alopecia)): I had shoulder-length hair at diagnosis in March of 2010. I was BALD approximately six weeks later in May of 2010. Check out this short video of me speaking to discover how I responded to the complete loss of my hair. I NEVER thought hair loss could be Fun, but we made it that way with this idea!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAxuGIsBndE&list=UU3YmeKxlIFFUjzqvmNNaAgw&index=22

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I won't put up 18 of these, but I had 6 cycles to get my cancer into remission in Sept. 2010, and then continued with a chemo. 1x every 8 weeks for two years!
