What stage were you diagnosed with? I was stage IIIA with no lymph node involvement. I had two nodules, one each in upper and lower right lobe. First did SBRT targeted therapy then chemo of carboplatin/pemetrexed. Then had a local recurrence 3 years later of the lower right lobe. Did surgery then 3 more chemo infusions of carboplatin/pemetrexed. Had a reaction to the carboplatin on the third infusion so I decided not to do the fourth. Started in 2010 with recurrence in 2013 and still showing NED (no evidence of disease) to date. Thankful for all the time I've been given to continue to live life! God Bless all with any type of cancer!

It says you are EGFR positive, do you know which mutation you have? Did your TKI stop working and now they're doing chemo? Where did your cancer metastasize to? Are you being treated at a top rated NCI cancer center? It's always helpful to responders to have as much info from you as possible to be able to assist you in any way we can. Wishing you all the best. Take care!

Haven't been here in a while but did see when Greg passed. Very sad for his family and the What Next family.
I'm an 11 year survivor of stage IIIA adeno NSCLC. I had a local recurrence 3 years after my original diagnosis. I had surgery and chemo the second time around with SBRT/chemo the first time. I'm doing very well and advocate and help others through their journey. Let's all do our best to get new members here and get WN back on track. Take care, Judy
