recieved diagnosis of DCIS stage 0, 2 months ago. have been to 2 doctors that both suggest masectomy. I have an appt to meet with the general surgeon and plastic surgeon (they have wk'd together for years) next week. I am leaning more towards having a double masectomy with implants. Im excited for the implants ( I breastfed both my kids & am way saggy!) but worry that my breasts are going to look disfigured and be nippleless! Does anyone know how often with DCIS the nipple is removed and NOT replaced??

Seems that I have learned that keeping the nipples depends on how close the cancer is to the nipple. The. Nipple is breast tissue! And to replace them you have to wait about 6months.
