      thank you for the response. He was using the optune (cap with electrodes) until his last round of surgeries. We are hoping to get him started with that along with his chemo this week UofM would be a 9 hr trip each way for him Not very doable but not impossible

      They might have a place for him and a family to stay while he is in treatment.

      and Southwest Airlines also has a compassionate travel for medical
      treatments program.

      The whole treatment idea sounds so bizarre. They me the whole fricking world deathly afraid of polio and gave us all shots against it and yet, when they look for a virus, polio is the go to.

      Call your oncologist and ask for help arranging it (and advise you if he is a good candidate for it). Refer to the 60 Minutes piece, and your doctor will know the simplest way to access it (distance-wise), plus be able to coordinate the medical records for your son. Best wishes!

    Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): first surgery went well with fairly short recovery but had another tumor 6 mths later causing stroke and another surgery and then gamma knife surgery recovery is difficult this time still trying to get function back on right side vision problems and some mental fog
