Well first chemo went well. No issues and I’m still thanking god for that. I’m currently at work and the temp dropped so I’m experiencing the funny feeling in my finger tips. I have naturally long nails. Would it be a good idea to cut them down?

Hi, ChimereW! All sounds good. I can’t answer your question about your nails (mine aren’t polished and aren’t very long). Wishing you everything good.

ChimereW - that funny feeling in your fingertips is called neuropathy - it's a side effect of the chemo. Those sensations can get worse for a several months after chemo, and then begin to get better. How long has it been since your last chemo?

I don't think that the length of your nails will influence that.

Welcome from another Stage IV colorectal cancer survivor. Mine was rectal. I am 4 1/2 years out from my diagnosis and doing well. Get a second opinion - Johns Hopkins is an NCI-designated cancer treatment center. Have genetic testing - early adult onset- colorectal cancer may be caused by genetic mutations or specific biomarkers - knowing your status will help guide your treatment. Best wishes for treatment success.

Thank you I was in a fog for so long before I came out and began to fight back. You have my Pharmaceutical advice KEEP it close tell your GP and I hope you avoid the problem. May God Bless you He must have for me . Perhaps he is fed up with the struggle were having and has helped those in research. I spent much of my life in R&D its so much tedium proving the spark you saw in ONE test then it dies before igniting the kindling. Your life will be on a express train for the next 3 months. its exhausting and you wonder when you can rest. you wil get tired you Wont loose hair but you may want to pull some out.

Sleep when you can Eat WELL ABOVE all Else. Healthy and IRON RICH FOODS.
