Hi Lisa,
I am survivor of cholangiocarcinoma and going on three years post surgery/chemo treatment. I am working and very happy about that. I lost my job ( of 18 yrs.) for being out too long. God gave me an even better job. I am celebrating 58 years of life this month and am very grateful to still be here.
My life is good with God,family, friends, and a fabulous job.
My journey was not an easy one. My surgery was real togh, I had a section of my liver removed and the recovery was very hard. Chemo wore me out and I felt guilty for not working. I was tired all the time and my job as a nurse is both physically and mentally demanding. I know I could not have performed my job duties.
I do take life one day at a time and have done that for as long as I can remember. I came close to death more than once on this journey.

Celebration (Finished treatment): My family and I had a party to celebrate the end of chemo and me still being with them. I continue to celebrate every day the good Lord gives me.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I was on chemo for six months which left me exhausted all of the time. I also lost my job of 18 years due to being out for too long. That was a tough pill to swallow.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): Very tough surgery and recuperation. Did not expect it to be as hard as it was.
