Hi Dani, I was sad to hear you felt so isolated. I hope things are better now. I have TNBC too. Scheduled for a bilateral Friday. I was wondering how long they wqit to start chemo, and if you needed to take dose dense?

I am feeling much better now that most of it is over. They recommend Chemo within 2 months after surgery. What is dose dense?

So glad you are feeling better, must be nice to be almost done with treatment! I believe dose dense refers to stronger doses of chemo than normally given because of the aggressive nature of TNBC. I'm still learning all this, so I could be wrong-

Hi Barbara! Yes, I am triple negative. Scary. CAM stands for Complimentary Alternative Medicine. I've decided for a bilateral, since there is a strong history of cancer in my family. My mom had 3 different types, and survived them all! Thanks for writing!

Hi Constance, since there is a history of cancer in your family & your Mom had it (and 3 different to boot) I believe u r making the right decision. I wasn't sure at 1st, but since there is no history of cancer in my family & my BRAC test was negative, the Oncologist give me a choice & didn't seem to push me further. I am soo glad to hear your Mom survived it all. Gives a sense of hope to everyone!! I always took vitamins, but have added extra & want to ask my Onc about several other things. I am going to ask about CoQ 10, see what he says. Best of luck to you and hopefully we will catch up w/ea other on the site..:)

Hi Merr. Your picture is beautiful and uplifting. I was just diagnosed same as you but lump only 1 cm. Bilateral planned for this Fri. No recon. Interested in CAM and no chemo or rad. I'm 56 and recently had a total knee replacement. Any advice or direction is very much appreciated!
