    Hi Jenny,

Your daughter asked me to reach out to you. I had a similar type of cancer as you and want you to know that you will get through this. Just try to keep your ey on the finish line. If you have any particular questions, feel free to email me or just go ahead and write on my wall. I hope you are feeling good today. You have one chemo down and that means you are on your way to being cancer free!

    Best,
    Clementine

Thank you for "reaching out to me" - I truly appreciate the support and especially hearing positive things. It helps me to stay positive. It is 6 AM and I am getting ready to head for Syracuse for my 2nd Chemo. I had a little melt down last night thinking of it. It seems like I belong to another world now -- the infusion lab, the other patients, my comrades on here, etc. After the first chemo, I felt alien in my normal environment -- then I started settling in to the routine -- and, now I have to go back -- it is like reality setting in all over again. I am sure, I will regain my sense of composure once I get home later today. Thanks for letting me vent -- will let you know how it goes.

Yes, I know it is tough getting the gumption to go back for more chemo, but maybe try to look at it like a series of little (some not so little) victories. You have already gotten so far after having had surgery, a zillion tests and now about to have 2 chemos behind you! I had 8 as well. Are you on Adriamycin & Cytoxan and then afterwards Taxol? That is what I was on. If this is the case, I can tell you that the last 4 are way easier than the first four - and that the first 4 weren't all that bad at all. I never had a day where I felt I didn't want to or couldn't get out of bed and have a full day. Make sure to tell your dr's of any side effects you are experiencing. They have so many things that they can give you to make things more comfortable for you. Just think, this is a world you will only have to be a part of for a few months more. Hang in there today.

    Hi startx77073,

I just wanted to reach out to you and offer support. I too am 42 and am now a year out of treatment and am feeling good. I know how hard it can be at the beginning just trying to wrap your brain around what is going on with you. Anyway, I hope that you are doing okay and if you have any questions or just want to vent, I am here.

    Good luck,
    Clementine

    Hi Kassie,

I was 40 when diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Cancer (Her2 Neg - ER/PR Pos). I am now a little over a year out of treatment and am feeling really good. If there are any questions you have - feel free to ask. Since I have been through the whole scenario I may be able to shed some light or just offer some moral support.

    Take Care,
    Clementine
