The results came back and the tumor has gotten larger, She has made some progress but not enough to continue in the clinical trial. She started a medicaation today called Efatnib (not sure of spelling) 1 pill every other day plus maybe a low dose chemo. Yesterday was a good day, today not so much. Our family friend, Marcia doesn't think she'll make it to the end of the year. Sometimes she eats, sometimes she doesn't. I love her so much! Any suggestions, advice, etc. you can throw my way would be really helpful.

Don't make her eat. Get some bowls and put some delicious healthy foods in it and just put it next to her in her chair...Delicious Melon balls.....a healthier popcorn or raw almonds or cashews, Red Grapes and Cherries....picking food and not at a dinner table.....she'll start to munch. BUT let her be as she is just doing what she is doing......

She has an infection where the tumor is pressing on the rib and is protruding on her left side. The doctor has not given a prognosis andd my dad doesn't want to get a hospice social worker or seek grief counseling. Her 17 year old daughter Emily has been having meltdowns and verbally attacking her mother because she knows she doesn't have the strength to fight back. She has also verbally attacked my dad, and Juliet says he caan discipline her. When she brought up therapy to Emily, Emily said no. She lets things build up in her until she has a meltdown. They happen almost every week. Right now, her mother asked her to move something and she had a meltdown stormed off and is not speaking to her. I think my dad's still in denial. Any suggestions, comments, etc. would be appreciated.
