Oh No (abcessed tooth night before chemo): Had to reschedule chemo and have tooth pulled. If can't imagine what will come up next!!

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): My first chemo, two weeks ago, was not as difficult as I had expected, but the after-effects of the shot the next day were horrendous! I have another treatment and shot next week. It's hard to imagine bones and joints aching the way they did - and it's hard to imagine going through that multiple times. I am learning more about how to take pain medication - sooner rather than later. My hair is almost gone so I have started wearing all kinds of crazy headgear! I can't believe that this is just the beginning!

Decision Point (EGFR & ALK tests negative ): I will be meeting with a second oncologist on Monday and will begin chemo ASAP. I've been reading all of your comments on side-effects and can't imagine what's ahead for me. It is really helpful to read other folk's journeys. Thank you for that!

Hi Mike,
I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you with diagnosis, but haven't started treatment yet either. The waiting is awful, and I'm trying really hard to accept this whole thing. I guess I don't really know how I'm supposed to be feeling, and I'll bet you are in the same boat.
Good luck to both of us!!
