Decision Point (Went to Dana Farber & met with oncologist about possible clinical trials): My oncologist had stated any clinical trials must be done prior to going on any other medications. DF oncologist stated I qualified for 1 trial, however there were no openings and could be months before any openings. The other 2 trials I didn't qualify for. She discussed other options available, but because my health was great, she agreed with my oncologist for me to take the Olaparib If it didn't work, then one of the others can be tried. Waiting to hear back from my doctor regarding it.

Procedure or Surgery (CT scan): CT scan revealed the 3 rounds of Doxil didn't work and found the tumors had grown. He stated at this point remission won't hapen and the goal is to keep the cancer from growing. Oncologist suggesting to start Olaparib

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Hand/foot syndrome remained for 2 weeks. Postponed round 3 of Doxil from 8/28 to 9/30 to give me time to recuperate and to go on planned vacation.

Side Effects (Allergic reaction): 2 weeks after the 2nd round of Doxil, I developed mouth sores; my hands swelled up, turned a plum/red color and began to peel. I could only bend the fingers slightly preventing me from grasping, driving, working and very painful. Dr put me on a steroid cream and a mouth rinse.
