It started with a pain in my wifes back the day before thanksgiving she was throwing up so I took her to the ER. They said she had a cyst that was hitting her kidney. They said don't worry it's not cancer but it has to come out. The surgery was Dec 13 2011. After the surgery the doctor told me no cancer was found. Dec 14 the doctor came in and said they just got the patholgist report back and that she ovarian cancer and that they would have to go back in to find at what what stage. She was only supose to be in the hospital for a 1 day she ended up being there for over 6 weeks. Her doctor said it was only stage 1 and they got it all but she still had to do 6 seesion of chemo which took about six months because of the counts. It's been 4 months since her last session and her hair is growning back and she starting to feel good. When I first found out she cancer my heart just sank and I felt all alone. I lost my mom to cancer and I started thinking here I go again. I can't thank the american cancer society enough they have been there for us through the whole ordeal. Also my wife's doctors have been awsome they have made a lousy situation a little better. The nures at the Disney cancer center would the best they made sure my wife was comfortable durning chemo. They would hug my wife everytime she comes for an appt. Oh almost forgot my wife went for a ct scan and the doctor said it couldn't be better.
