I am having difficulty locating gynecologist/oncologist in my area to take over the care that my AZ dr was giving

The best place to start is looking at the hospitals or cancer centers in your new area. Most hospitals today have referral lines that can help you find a provider. Also, ask your new neighbors about who they go to. You don't have to give them your diagnosis, just you are new in the area and need to find a doctor. Recomendations by people in the area are usually pretty reliable.

If you can, check back with your original doctor who you liked so much. While she may not personally know anyone in your area, she may be able to assist with some recommendations based on her associations with other doctors.

    Hi Kissis46.
I just saw your post about your diagnosis and biopsies. I am new to this site, and also have been diagnosed with vaginal cancer. I at times am overwhelmed by the things I have yet to understand. But I am hoping that like many others that with support of others here on this site, I may be able to connect with others going through similar experiences. I was diagnosed last year and have been re testing every 3 months until just recently when I relocated to Mississippi from Arizona. My next appointment is due in December and I have yet to find an oncologist/gynecologist in my area that I can go to. I would like to stay in touch with you about your journey and maybe we could help each other through some moments. I am glad you are here.

Oh No (Health insurance issue): fast foward to MS 2011, and again I already shared in part one that my relocation has caused the insurance lapse issue and I can only pray that gets solved quickly so I can get a dr that can treat and care for me under these circumstances in my area. Gynecologic Oncologists are hard to find here.
