First If your American Cancer Center can't help you, I would go online and look up organizations that help those who have terminal cancer, just type in organizations that help those with terminal cancer and you will find help, also look in your phone book under Community Resources and you might be able to find more resources, on your meds, sometimes the med company may help those who can't afford their products. In regards to your kids, no matter how young they are they need to be told about your situation and be very honest with them they can take it and if you need help there are books at most libraries on how to talk to children about cancer. If you have other questions email me, I use to be a nurse so I can offer more help if you still having trouble.

If you still haven't found help thru the American Cancer Society you can go online and type in organizations help with those who have terminal cancer and you should find lots of resources. With your medications most drug companies will help those who can't pay for their medications if not go back online and type in help with paying for medications and you should get a list. With your kids no matter how young they are you need to tell them whats going on and tell them the whole truth if you don't know what to say you can find books on the subject at your library, but you have to tell them and they will get it and understand why you can't buy certain things(but there are organizations that will help buy christmas toys or birthday stuff or clothes, school supplies etc... I hope this helps but if you still have questions email me and I will try and help as much as I can, I use to be a nurse until my cancer got worse and I no longer can work and with the "leaving your kids soon" isn't necessary right because I wasn't suppose to live past 25 and I will be 49 in a couple of weeks so don't give up until your last breath.

Now is the time to find out where you sign up for toys for tots or other community resources for holiday meals or toys for your children as its in November when you actually sign up. You don't want to wait for the last minute. Look online or check with the social worker at your hospital to find out what's available in your area. I will keep y'all in my prayers and remember God knows what you need and will provide :-)

Hi Crystal, I hear how scared you are. You are young and have kids. It's hard. You are here and still living and not going anywhere right now. There are so many resources that can provide help, depending on what you need. For example, www.GiveForward.com helps with online fundraising to help defray medical costs. They are wonderful people. The American Cancer Society offers many camp opportunities for kids affected by cancer. You can contact them at[phone number redacted]. Please let us know what you need and we'll help you get the support to try to lighten the load. We are here for you.

Oh No (Diagnosed): on may 23 2012 I found that what the doctors first said was an abcess under my skin really was salivary gland cancer. now I am so scared I have a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children I dont want to leave them, but for some reason this time around feels very different, I had a hysterectomy 7 years ago from cancer and they got it all I have had skin cancer when I was 13 and made it through that with not one worry, and then 3 tumors removed from my breast and under my arm, but I wasnt affraid. and now it isn't the same. I am so scared that I can't think of what to do next, my kids really want to go to the beach this summer how can I break there hearts and tell them that we dont have the money to do anything. unless money can drop out of the sky I have to let my kids down again. we have had alot of loss in our family because of cancr, I dont know if I can fight anymore. thank you for listening may god bless each and everyone of you.
