Oh No (Health insurance issue): On Jan 4th I had waited long enough to seek medical attention for an ongoing medical problem i had been having for over 6 months (irregular menstural cycles, constant bleeding, and lower back pain) at this point the pain was getting unbearable so i had to go see my primary Dr...He examined me and immediately that same day had me in to see a Gyn that examined me and sent me that same day to have a scan and told me he was sending me to a specialist Onocologist/Gyn and that he said i had a great chance i had cervical cancer 90 percent sure but needed the specialist to diagnose it....at this point i was worried as one could get not knowing about the unknown....the Gyn set my specialist for 2 days later...meanwhile i returned to work to let them know i needed to take off for that appointment and that i might have cancer....nothing else was said i worked that day then i went to my specialist the next day only to find out that my employee paid insurance was no good...so i called the insurance company and they told me the employer had called the day before and cancelled my insurance with them saying i no longer worked there(this would be the day i told my employer)...after the examination and a few more scans and a biopsy i was told i had cervical cancer most likely and i would need more tests before a official diagnosis could be made and a plan of action as to what treatment should be done and staging....sooo anxiety in full swing i still went to work for the next 3 weeks while taking off for occational consults and tests....daily asking my employer what was up with my insurance(which by the way was still being taken out of my checks for the premiums) all my employer would say is that i had insurance and they would find out what was going on with it but employer never had an answer....on the 28th when i got my official diagnosis and staging i returned to work once more to request an F.M.L.A for the 6-8 weeks of treatment and they said i wasnt eligible for it....i had seen an advocate for workplace practices and knew my rights....so what they were doing was illegal and unethical....but my employer still alledged that i had ins and they didnt know why i wasnt being covered...and i knew if i took an fmla they had to keep paying my ins prem until i returned then they would take my part after i returned back to work for my unpaid work...i paid extra premiums for temp disability also....my employer refused to acknowledge that they called the ins provider and cancelled me the day they found out i had cancer.....and never gave me a reason as to why i didnt qualify for fmla leave....i worked there for almost 2 years and this was the first time i ever used my insurance....or TRIED to use it....they sure took it out of my check though....i started my treatments on the 1st of march with no insurance....no temp disability and was continuing to try to work...even though my treatments were everyday 1 1/2 hours each way to the hospital and 4 hours...after the first chemo treatment the employer said i wasnt capable of doing my job (in reality i couldnt(i worked in an alzeimers care unit))and would only get 2 hours in a shift...so basically had to quit....they said i could return if i ever got well enough to work.....thats how they worded it also....like if i lived through the treatment i could come back to work.....ha what a joke.....and since all this they have never once called to inquire how i was coming along or doing or if i was alive or anything....that has to be the most uncompassionate skilled living facility on this planet....enough venting here though it just makes my blood boil.....Community Manor,Farmington,Mo spread the word to whoever and whenever......I dont know what legal action or anything i could take but i can assure anyone ILL NEVER WORK FOR THEM OR ANY OF THEIR SISTER FACILITIES EVER EVER EVER AGAIN>>>>>>>>>And if and when i beat this Cervical Cancer I Assure Anyone I Will Advocate For People to make another choice in Patronizing this place......I have gotten proof that they called the insurance provider and Cancelled my policy with them....BTW not one bill was paid by them or the insurance i had been paying for for over a year...I have other things to concentrate my self on other than how crooked and uncompassionate this place is but if ANYONE has any thoughts on how to fight this matter please email me at [email redacted](this is my boyfriends email) thank you and God Bless All Of You Warriors

Side Effects (Pain): The most painful thing from this whole experience is from the internal radiation treatments (6 total)....this is an outpatient surgery and although the procedure is started with me under anesthesia to implant a sleeve into my cervix i am recovered to recieve the radiation probe which is unconfortable but tolerable for 15 minutes but after the treatment the probe, sleeve, then packing is removed without anesthesia, probe is painless coming out, sleeve is fairly painless, but the 6 feet of packing used to hold the sleeve in place is excrutiating(ive had 3 kids all natural and i would rather give birth again rather than this) its as some people might see as barbaric or horrendous....I say it should be illegal !!!!! Excrutiating pain to the most extreme as you could imagine....Thankfully it only lasts about 5 minutes then tapers off to nothing quickly but its something i truely dread and have had nightmares over....people have actually passed out from this painful part(There has to be a better pain management process for this part but obviously there isnt or at least the drs dont see the need...Im even thinking i could get ptsd from it...ive had two so far and 4 left which i dread...Worse than that the drs say it gets worse every time because the internal radiation causes the stenosis to worsen after each procedure...like i said it should be illegal......but it is needed to get a precise shot on the tomor....PTSD s worth of pain i tell you.... but within 5 mins its all good except for the PTSD from it....

Side Effects (Vaginal stenosis ): This has yet to be dealt with but the internal radiations will guarantee i will have this as to i will have 6 total....therapy to relieve this is the only way to eliminate this side effect....Ill post more as it developes over the next few weeks....
