Dabarc4u posted an update
Well, here I sit. One year later. On 4-15-11, The throat doctor called and said the lesion in my throat was cancer and he was referring me to St Mary Cancer Center. And it all started with a sore throat. Shortly there after it turned out that I had another cancerous tumor on my iliac bone on the pelvis. That was called stage 4 lung cancer. Still only a sore throat. After a couple doses of chemotherapy, the sore throat was gone. There were side effects at the beginning, but that sort of went away or at least it was something I decided to live with. And then the tumors were gone. We decided to do chemo maintenance for awhile and the next scan showed activity on the right lung lobe and the adrenal gland. Was put on another drug and in three months that activity was down by about 50 per cent. Will be taking one more chemo and then another scan in about 4 weeks. All alone I really felt good and to this day I find it hard to believe that I have or had cancer. From the first day, I decided that I was a survivor and not a victim. Story to be continued. And the beat goes on............

Hey Tighthead, a day at a time works for me, so far. I find if I stay out of my head, because I have a tendency to go negative. I worry about today, and tomorrow will come with it's own set of problems. Hang tough man. Battle the cancer and not whats in your head.
