I am halfway through the LiveStrong program and it has been really helpful for me. I have learned exercises, that I do not like spin, water aerobics is fantastic and on Monday I see what Zumba is (already got an idea on YouTube). The best past is the other people in my group - so supportive, caring and have lots of information, and it is good to be with all ages and all types of cancer. I really really appreciate them!
Great! Glad to hear your getting along fairly well. Thanks for posting. If you have questiions or something you would like for everyone to see, post it in the questions tab on top of any page. Everyone in the network will see it there.
Thanks for being here and posting your journey!

I am having a hard time dealing with the issue of cancer and seem to want to find a way out. In the paper was an article that said drs. are diagnosing things as cancer that would be fine without any treatment. So now I am questioning my diagnosis. I have great, well respected drs. and so am confused. How do I gauge what to pay attention to and what to ignore? Basically I want to be me before the diagnosis.
Side Effects (Fatigue (tiredness)): I have never felt this tired, nor did I know how to deal with it, stay positive and be there for my husband. In one week we had 10 Dr. appts. between us!
Radiation (External radiation ): I was told I would get Fatigue, but id didn't hit me until the last 2 weeks - and then all I did was sleep for the next month, trying to do things was hard. On top of that I got a seroma which took anoth 4 to 6 weeks to heal.
Procedure or Surgery (Lumpectomy): I am now living in fear of lymphodema, I had 5 or 6 nodes removed.
